Toledo is the capital of Castile and La Mancha. Located about 70 kilometers south of Madrid, it is a "must see" for anyone spending time in the Spanish capital. The city is a leading political, economic and cultural center including the production of crafts. It is an important source of historical, artistic and cultural heritage. This is one of the largst provinces in Spain with a flat terrain devoted to agriculture and light industry. The Tajo river crosses the province cutting between the two most important cities, Toledo and Talavera de la Reina. Toledo, located on a small hill, is cold in the winter and hot in the summer. It is a UNECO City combining ancient masques, Gothic and Mudejar church, synagogue and Renaissance Palace. One could spend several days exploring the mysteries of this wonderful small town.
