The villa is built into the hillside and is surrounded with large terraces, leading to a swimming pool carved out of the rock itself. Like the house, the terraces are on two levels, and are imaginatively furnished - there is a 'Moroccan' terrace, while another has comfortable sofas and an Indian bed - all providing magical settings from which to gaze at the gorgeous sea views.

The villa has recently been refurbished to a high standard of modern comfort, including a new kitchen, but it will prove difficult to stay inside when the outdoor areas are so alluring. Can Vincent is above a rocky beach, part of a nature reserve, and although it is only 7 minutes walk down to the sea, it must be said that the climb back is steep, and it may be preferable to go down by car.

The small family resort of San Vicente is 7km away, where there is a pleasant sandy beach as well as shops, beach bars and restaurants. This is truly a house for anyone wishing to live, if only for a week or two, 'away from it all'
