About City of Milan

Milan is the capital of Lombardy and the second largest city in Italy. Milan is also the trendsetter in many areas. La Scala is the center for excellent opera, ballet and music. Milan is the fashion and design capital of Italy and maybe the world. Famous designers as Armani, Versace, and Ferre, just to name a few, along with many other less famous designers, contribute to create and innovate the fashion world. The city and the people are very elegant. It is also an academic center and the home to major publishing houses and newspapers throughout Italy.

Milan is also accessible to the beautiful Lake Region to the north, the most famous being Lake Como. This is a wonderful place to visit or go for the day by train if you are visiting Milan for a period of time.
