About City of Siena

This preserved medieval city is a favorite of visitors to Tuscany. Its cathedral is decorated by legendary artists such as Ghirlandaio, and the enormous main square (Piazza del Campo) is widely recognized as one of Europe's finest. From Siena, one can explore ancient Etruscan history or plan a quick escape to the hills for wine tasting. Also, Siena is home to the wild "Il Palio" horse races, which are held each year on July 2 and August 16.
